Every project begins with understanding your goals, challenges, and energy opportunities. Our process is designed to provide objective guidance, thorough evaluation, and strategic support at every stage, helping you make informed decisions with confidence while minimizing risk and maximizing long-term value.
STAGE 1
Kickoff Meeting
We start every engagement with a working session that brings the client team and the kW Energy Advisors team to the same table. The goal is alignment on objectives, technology preferences, and decision criteria before any technical work begins. This stage usually includes corporate decision-makers and facility-level personnel.

STAGE 2
Site Assessment
We build a preliminary technical and economic picture of the project before the client commits to anything. This gives clients the confidence to either move forward or step back, with a clear understanding of why.

STAGE 3
Developer Selection
Clients choose one of two paths based on their goals, timeline, and project scale. Both paths end the same way. We present the client with an independent evaluation and a clear recommendation.

Direct Match
We match the client with a vetted, qualified developer from our network and coordinate an introductory interview. If the client wants an alternative, we identify and introduce another qualified developer. We then coordinate a site visit, solicit a proposal, and perform an independent economic evaluation.

Competitive Bid
We run a structured RFP process across multiple qualified developers. We coordinate site visits and final proposals, evaluate all submissions independently, and present a clear recommendation. This path takes longer but creates more pricing leverage and is typically the right choice for larger projects or portfolios.
STAGE 4
Client–Developer Contract Support
Once a developer is selected, we stay at the table through contracting. The client makes the final decisions. Our role is to make sure those decisions are informed and that the commercial structure protects you.

STAGE 5
Project
Development Advisory
After contracts are signed, we remain an ongoing advisor through development and construction. Most consultants step out at the contract stage. We stay in until the system is producing power and the client has what they were promised.
